Vision in Action

30 MILES IN 30 DAYS

Listen to BBC Radio Gloucestershire and find out what Thomas and Iris have been getting up to. The siblings have started fundraising to help raise money for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity. Their Covid-19 Rapid Response Appeal has been set up to help provide staff with provisions to get through this difficult time, including sleep pods in the hospitals and care packages.

Purpose:

To ensure our school vision is ‘alive’ in our school
To allow the children at Siddington C of E Primary School have a voice

To help the school and community be a better place
To help to improve learning in the school
To raise funds for local, national and international charities and the school

Members:

Vision in Action group will be made up of representatives from years R – 6.
Each class will elect one representative per year group who attends meetings and gives feedback.
Having been a member of Vision in Action group for one year, children will then be unable to represent their class for the following two years to allow opportunity to a wider range of people.

Elections:
Any class member is entitled to run for Vision in Action group and the decision in each class will be made by a secret ballot.
Children wishing to be considered for Vision in Action group will need to present a speech (optional) to their class giving clear reasons and examples of why they are the most suitable candidate for the job.

We have raised money for charity, including the NSPCC.

We have begun to discuss our Eco Warrior challenge and formed the 'Green Samaritan' group.

Through discussions with our friends we have decided on some Charities to support in 2022, researched them and informed the classes and asked the pupils to vote.
